5 Tips to Improve Your UX Design Practice in 2020

Everyone claims that their UX design is perfect. However, we don’t hear that much but, truth is – the longer we’re in the business, the better we consider ourselves. Sometimes, it’s worth remembering that even professionals still got to learn to do the work.

Remember, another thing, the more we do things, the better we become at it and it gets easier for us to keep them as our habits creep into our work.

That’s the reason why an experienced driver is not necessarily a great driver, he might think he is, but the reality is, there’s always a chance of crash caused by other people who’ve been driving for years. Their skills have deteriorated slowly because they spent no time on maintaining or improving.

1. Improve Your Vocabulary

Mostly, people forget to use the technical terms in UX Design. They haven’t heard of phenomenology or familiar with heuristics and being honest, they don’t really care. Those types of terms are fine within the UX Design but when you are talking with the rest of your community or organization, they better go in the bin. We have clients in different industries. We use their languages when we talk with them. If you’re skipping this step, you’re irritating them – and that’s not a good strategy of doing long-term business.

2. Forget About the Yellow Brick Road

Take some time every week or every day to read up the latest technologies and trends going on in the UX industry. Buy textbooks, e-books, or even courses to improve your UX design skills.
